Jeff Kravitz / Getty Images The family moved to Salt Lake City, Utah, and Ty recently opened up about how he's been coping. "It's just been spectacular," he told People on August 3. "We moved here right after [Modern Family] ended, and I don't have any regrets. It's been lovely and a great place to raise the kids." Tony Rivetti / Getty Images Ty went on to admit that his new "outdoorsy" lifestyle took a bit of getting used to. Alberto E. Rodriguez / Getty Images "My parents weren't really those kinds of people," he explained. "So at first, when we moved here, it almost felt like cosplay, like we were pretending to be people who were outdoorsy, and now we really truly love it." Michael Kovac / Getty Images Interestingly, Ty's onscreen daughter Ariel Winter - who played Alex Dunphy - has also talked openly about leaving LA after the sitcom ended. Gonzalo Marroquin / Getty Images Ariel, who now lives in Tennessee, admitted last year, "I don't think LA was ever really my vibe, but I just was nervous." Alberto E. Rodriguez / Getty Images "And then this opportunity presented itself, and I was like, you know what? I'm in a season of change, and I'm really trying to heal and grow and evolve. It's opened up my world a lot," she said. Can you think of other actors who left LA for a quieter life? Feel free to share in the comments.
