An employee at NRG Stadium has been arrested after he allegedly sexually assaulted an 8-year-old boy inside a restroom during a Houston Texans game in December 2025. The Houston Police Department confirmed in a Facebook post on Tuesday, January 13, that Ushay Nixon was charged with indecency with a child by exposure and attempted aggravated sexual assault of a child under 14. "See something, say something. HPD needs assistance identifying anyone who might have information about a crime that happened at NRG stadium on Dec. 14," the post read. "One male reached out to the victim's mother to report he might have witnessed something suspicious. Officers would like to speak to anyone who might have information in this case." The department also shared new surveillance images of the area where the incident took place, as well as Nixon's mugshot. Nixon, 21, has since been arrested and remains behind bars at Harris County Jail, according to online records viewed by Us Weekly. His bonds have been set at $150,000 and $50,000. It is not currently clear if he has retained legal counsel or entered a plea. Former Teacher Accused of Having Unlawful Sexual Relations with Student The incident took place when the young victim attended the Texans vs. Arizona Cardinals game on December 14 with his parents. The boy crossed paths with Nixon when his mother took him to the men's bathroom and she waited outside, according to Click2Houston. The child told investigators that a man later identified as Nixon approached him in the restroom and claimed to be an employee. The boy said he listened to what Nixon instructed him to do because he believed he worked at the stadium. The boy's mother doubled down on her son's account, telling the outlet that her son trusted the man because he claimed to be an employee. "He said he was washing his hands and that an employee approached him and told him to go into a stall," she said. "And my son said, 'I trusted him because he was a worker.'" The boy told investigators that Nixon led him into a restroom stall, and he allegedly locked the door before he removed the child's pants and underwear. Once the child grew scared and realized he couldn't trust Nixon, he pushed past him, unlocked the stall and managed to leave the restroom. As the child left the restroom, his mother noticed that he was adjusting his clothing. Prosecutors Request Timothy Busfield Be Denied Bail Amid Child Abuse Claims The family then returned to their seats, where a bystander told the mother that he saw her son with an adult in the restroom. He added that the bystander said the interactions "didn't look right," according to the outlet. The child then told his parents that "a man pulled my pants down." Nixon was later interviewed by investigators, and he said he was working at the stadium by cleaning restrooms, stating that he had been employed by Aramark at the stadium since last year. The suspect also admitted to crossing paths with the young boy in the men's restroom. However, he denied assaulting him. Instead, he told investigators that he asked the child if he wanted to see his Pokémon card collection on his phone. Nixon then claimed that the child became scared when he reached into his pocket to get the phone, which is when he ran away. Nixon also told police that the boy thought he was going to "touch him" and that he "knew he was in trouble," according to the police report. Patrick Mahomes' Brother Jackson Mahomes Arrested for Aggravated Sexual Battery Not only is Nixon facing criminal charges, but a civil lawsuit has also been filed against him, Aramark Sports and Entertainment Services of Texas LLC, and ASM Global Parent Inc., which manages NRG Park. The lawsuit claims that Nixon had a documented history of sexual misconduct and had been previously charged before he was hired by Aramark, according to Click2Houston. The child's family's attorney, Anna Greenberg, said they are seeking compensation for the lasting harm that the incident has left on the child. "He's already been severely impacted by this assault, and it is an assault," Greenberg said. "We're seeking compensatory damages for what's happened to him, the mental anguish that he has suffered so far and will likely continue to suffer into the future." The investigation into the troubling incident remains ongoing.
