A kidnapped 11-year-old girl was allegedly found in the bed of a Long Island, New York, man police claim she met online, according to prosecutors. Prosecutors in Suffolk County claim that Nicholas Wieber, 28, entered not guilty pleas to two counts of kidnapping and one count of child endangerment during his arraignment on Friday, January 9, Us Weekly has learned. Investigators allege that Wieber drove more than an hour and close to 40 miles to Queens to meet with the victim, who he met through the communication and gaming application Discord. Wieber allegedly started talking to the pre-teen girl in December 2025. A press release on his arrest alleged that Wieber's messages to the girl "quickly became sexual in nature." According to police, the victim's mother went to pick her daughter up from the bus after school on December 12, only to realize that the girl wasn't even on the bus. The victim's mother frantically started calling her daughter's friends to see if the girl was with them. But they all told her that the girl had left in a car that was being driven by an older man. The mother then called New York State Police and officers began searching for the girl. Several hours later, police would learn the girl had been chatting with Wieber online and that he had allegedly driven the female victim back to his home in Bay Shore, Us Weekly has confirmed. Missing Teen Found After 2 Months, Arrested Man Claims 'Misunderstanding' Us Weekly confirmed that a crush of cops showed up at Wieber's residence on December 13, 2025. Officers forced their way in and immediately arrested Wieber after they allegedly discovered the girl in "a state of undress in Wieber's bed," it is alleged in the press release. Police said that the young girl has been reunited with her family. It was unclear if she had sustained any injuries during the kidnapping ordeal. "This case underscores the exceptional work of law enforcement, whose coordinated response led to the recovery of a kidnapped child," said Suffolk County District Attorney Ray Tierney in a statement. "Their vigilance, skill, and determination ensured the child was found safely and returned to her parents without delay. Due to their outstanding investigative work, we were able to swiftly secure an indictment and begin holding the offender accountable." Wieber is being held on $250,000 cash, $500,000 bond, or a $2.5 million partially secured bond, Us Weekly confirmed. Prosecutors said that he is due to face a judge on February 17. If he is convicted on the kidnapping count alone, Wieber could be sentenced to 25 years to life in prison. His attorney, Larry Flowers, could not be reached for comment the morning of Wednesday, January 14. Sources told Us Weekly the investigation continues, and that additional charges against Wieber are likely.
