That seems to be what fans think after the Wicked co-stars uploaded a shared Instagram post on Wednesday. It's a photo of them sat in front of one of George Seurat's most famous paintings, A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte, at the Art Institute of Chicago. Below, Bailey and Grande write: "All it has to be is good" - a reference to one of the musical's most iconic songs. It would go on to be considered a masterpiece, but artistic expression comes at a cost for the French painter. View this post on Instagram According to Deadline, the musical was planning a summer 2027 run at London's Barbican Theatre. The venue did not immediately respond to request for comment from The Hollywood Reporter. Sunday in the Park With George first opened in 1984 on Broadway at the Booth Theatre with Mandy Patinkin and Bernadette Peters. The last major production was in 2017 with Jake Gyllenhaal and Annaleigh Ashford at the Hudson Theatre. Followers of Bailey and Grande immediately went wild under the post on Wednesday. "Genuinely never been more excited about a musical in my life," one user wrote, while todaytix said: "A great day for theatre kids everywhere." After finishing Jon M. Chu's Wicked two-parter, the pair have both spoken publicly about taking a break from the big screen. Grande - who would be making her West End debut in Sunday in the Park With George - is hitting the road for her Eternal Sunshine tour this year and recently told Amy Poehler on the Good Hang podcast that she'll be taking a break after that. "I'm going to give it my all, and it's going to be beautiful, and I'm so grateful. I think that's why I'm doing it. Because I'm like, one last hurrah," said the popstar. "For now." Bailey, on the other hand, is no stranger to the stage here in the British capital. He's led multiple shows including Richard II last year and Cock in 2022. The Jurassic World Rebirth and Bridgerton star said in 2025 that he'd be pausing his acting work to focus on his LGBTQ+ charity The Shameless Fund.
