Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison was arrested on Monday, January 12, and charged with probable cause trespassing in Tampa, Florida, according to documents viewed by Us Weekly. The alleged incident occurred at an "occupied structure or conveyance on the 5200 block of Orient Road," an address that belongs to Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, according to ESPN. Addison, 23, was released Monday afternoon on $500 bond. Younger & Associates, the firm representing Addison, addressed the incident in a statement via X on Tuesday, January 13. "On Jordan's behalf, his legal team has already initiated the investigation, identified witnesses, and we are reviewing the viability of a claim for false arrest," the statement read. "He looks forward to the legal process and upon full investigation, we are confident Mr. Addison will be exonerated." Adrian Peterson Arrested for DWI and 'Unlawful' Weapon Carrying Addison's arrest coincides with the Vikings' end-of-year press conferences after Minnesota finished the 2025-26 NFL season 9-8, falling short of playoff contention. Head coach Kevin O'Connell was asked about the arrest, but declined to go into detail. "I just learned about that very, very recently, so I don't want to speculate on that in any way, shape, or form," he said. "We gotta get as many facts and find out exactly what happened. Speculating at this point would be incredibly premature for me." Jordan Addison Courtesy of Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office The Vikings selected Addison 23rd overall in the 2023 NFL Draft. His recent arrest is not his first run-in with the law since he broke into the league. In July 2023, he pled guilty to a misdemeanor speeding charge after he was cited for driving 140 miles per hour on a Minnesota freeway. He paid $686 in fines. The following July, he was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence when police found him asleep behind the wheel on a freeway in Los Angeles. He pled guilty to what's known in California as a wet reckless charge and received 12 months of probation, a $390 fine and was required to complete two online courses. Addison also served a three-game suspension at the start of the 2025 season. Two weeks after his return, Addison was benched for the first quarter of a game against the Cleveland Browns in London after missing a team walkthrough. Browns Rookie Quinshon Judkins Arrested of Suspicion of Domestic Violence Vikings general manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah also addressed Addison's arrest and how it might factor into whether the team decides to extend his contract. "Jordan is unique because 99 percent of the days that Jordan Addison is a Viking, he's a joy to be around," he said. "He's incredibly intelligent, confident, responsible. And then it's like all of us: What are you like on those 1 percent of days? Is it the type of thing that draws attention or not? Obviously that's something we have to consider when you're talking about long-term ramifications of a contract extension and different things like that." Adofo-Mensah, 44, continued, "We'll have those conversations, obviously. Just a few days after the season and obviously this event just happened. But always supportive of Jordan Addison. We'll continue to fact-find and see what actually happened, and then we'll have those conversations in the future." Addison finished the 2025 season as the Vikings' No. 2 receiver, hauling in 82 receptions for 610 yards and three touchdowns.
