She was 82. Her clients included actors Chris Evans, Rue McClanahan, Alan Rachins and Traylor Howard. Barbara Deitchman was born on Jan. 10, 1943, in the Forrest Hills section of Queens. Her mother, Gertrude, was a homemaker, and her father, Bernie, would go on to become a longtime executive for Nikon. She attended Forrest Hills High School and the University of Miami and was married from 1967-70 to actor Dennis Cooney, through whom she became friends with Liza Minnelli and Fred Ebb. Richard left Abrams-Rubaloff in the mid-'70s to pursue talent management at his own firm, then bought Abrams-Rubaloff from Harry Abrams in 1980. Meanwhile, Barbara left Abrams-Rubaloff and took over Richard's management firm, renamed Rebel Entertainment Partners in 2004. She eventually joined the management outfit Ensemble Entertainment and retired in the early 2000s. In addition to her husband, survivors include son Seth Lawrence, an IAG agent, his wife, Denise Draper, a manager at Range Media Partners, and their children, Daelyn, Madden, Wyatt and Cole; and son Evan Lawrence, an account executive at concert touring and live event production company Upstaging Inc., and his wife, Jill Anenberg-Lawrence, an author, holistic nutritionist and life coach. Her family and more than 85 of their friends, former colleagues and clients celebrated her life this past weekend on what would have been her 83rd birthday at the Casaléna restaurant in Woodland Hills.
