"This puts Meghan in a rather awkward position, since I really don't think she is eager to return to what she sees as a somewhat hostile environment," royal author Christopher Andersen told Us Weekly. _ With their family protected, Prince Harry, Meghan Markle and their two children could safely visit King Charles III. "If Harry and Meghan do return to London with [Prince] Archie and [Princess] Lilibet, it will be so the children can begin to forge some sort of real relationship with their grandfather, the king," Christopher Andersen said. "Charles is a huge softy when it comes to his grandkids, so I'm sure they'd be welcomed with open arms." _ However, there's likely to be lingering tension after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's dramatic exit from The Firm in 2020. "That doesn't mean that Harry will ever be fully embraced by the royal family and allowed to return to some sort of semi-official role. That ship has sailed - and that goes double for Meghan," Christopher Andersen said. _ According to the Mail on Sunday, the British government will reinstate Prince Harry's armed police protection when he visits the U.K. "It's now a formality. Sources at the Home Office have indicated that security is nailed on for Harry," a source said. _ When Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's security was taken away after they left England, the Duke of Sussex made it clear his family wouldn't visit without proper protection. "I can't see a world in which I would bring my wife and children back to the U.K. at this point," he told the BBC.
