Apple TV believes there is plenty of more meat on that bone (fuzz on that ball?) - on Tuesday, the streamer formerly known as Apple TV+ announced it had acquired a documentary series about Agassi's life. The untitled docuseries will tell "the thrilling, complex, inspiring story of an American legend," per Apple. It will be directed by Tiger King's Chris Smith, produced by his Library Films and executive produced by Stacy Smith and Justin Gimelstob. And that's about all we know at this (match) point. Moehringer. Open, a double meaning here that also points to some of Agassi's eight Grand Slam championships, covers the former world no. 1 player's difficult childhood under the thumb of a demanding father and his later physical and psychological struggles getting to - and staying at - the top of professional men's tennis. Agassi, who at one point was married to actress Brooke Shields, admits to using having used methamphetamine in the late 1990s. In addition to his tennis acumen and tabloid marriage, Agassi was known for a flashy personal style. Early on in his career Agassi sported an all-time bleached-blonde mullet and a dangling earring. (Smith should be comfortable with those specific elements after Tiger King.) Somewhat tragically, at least given how much it was a part of his persona and marketing, Agassi lost his hair midway (give or take) into his playing career. It was (more or less) on par with Elaine's story arc in this season eight episode of Seinfeld.
