The episode, titled "Corrosive," had been scheduled to air Jan. 15 on NBC. The network has pulled that installment and will move up the scheduled Jan. 22 episode, "Fidelis Ad Mortem," to this week's spot. There's no word on when (or if) "Corrosive" will be rescheduled. The pulling of the episode comes after Albuquerque, New Mexico, police issued an arrest warrant for Busfield alleging that he abused two boys on the set of the Fox drama series The Cleaner in 2024, where he directed several episodes. An affidavit in the case states that one of the boys, who were actors on the series, said Busfield touched the boy's "'poop' and 'pee' area" over his clothing. TV, which produced The Cleaner (the show was canceled last year), investigated the claims following a separate SAG-AFTRA complaint on the show's set. "The health and safety of our cast and crew is always our top priority, especially the safety of minors on our productions," the studio said in a statement. "We take all allegations of misconduct very seriously and have systems in place to promptly and thoroughly investigate, and when needed, take appropriate action. We are aware of the current charges against Mr. Busfield and have been and will continue to cooperate with law enforcement." Busfield had previously faced separate allegations of sexually assaulting a 17-year-old girl who was an extra on the 1993 movie Little Big League, which he directed; he settled a lawsuit with the girl and a separate action against a law firm that he had accused of defamation. In 2012 a woman accused him of groping her on a date, but L.A. prosecutors didn't file charges. Busfield previously guest starred on SVU in 2011 and directed two episodes of the long-running series in 2019. He's best known for his roles on thirtysomething and The West Wing.
