The badge carried a powerful message tied to immigration enforcement and violence by U.S. federal agents. The pin is a part of the ACLU-backed #BeGood campaign, launched as a call for compassion and humane treatment in a period that the organisers describe as deeply troubling in the United States. The initiative, supported by advocacy groups including MoveOn, the National Domestic Workers Alliance, Maremoto, and Working Families Power, urges people to "be good to one another in the face of such horror" and emphasises being decent citizens, neighbours, friends, allies, and humans. The movement gained prominence after the fatal shooting of 37-year-old Renee Nicole Good, who was killed by an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officer last week during a protest in Minneapolis.
