Stars wearing a plethora of white gowns and suits arrived at the Beverly Hilton on Sunday night for the 83rd annual Golden Globe Awards, roughly five weeks after Pantone anointed Cloud Dancer, described by the brand as "a soft, ethereal white," as the color of 2026. White of course also symbolizes purity and new beginnings and is closely associated with what suffragettes famously wore in the early 1900s while fighting to secure women's right to vote. If the omnipresence of white gowns and suitings at the Golden Globe Awards inspired thoughts of that seminal action, there's no arguing that. Amid a bounty of designer looks in white or black, pops of brilliant color stood out beautifully, including Rose Byrne in emerald green Chanel and Laufey in a custom Balenciaga gown in orange jersey. Another trend of the night against the stark and structured black or white gowns was a group of looks that felt wholly breezy and ethereal, from Jennifer Lopez in a 2003 Jean-Louis Cherrer haute-couture gown, secured from Lily et Cie in Beverly Hills, or Justine Lupe's powder pink crinoline gown by Giorgio Armani Privé. Among the men, double-breasted jackets ruled the night - which also made Golden Globe winner Owen Cooper's mushroom-hued blouson jacket and trousers by Bottega Veneta another of the night's standout looks. Who embraced an exceptional combination of style, fit, accessorizing and modernity? We chose 15 stars who acquitted themselves well on Hollywood's golden night. Colman Domingo in Valentino Amy Sussman/Getty Images Colman Domingo loves to mix things up and considers how to elevate the details; that was once again evident at the Golden Globe Awards, when instead of the single brooch that's now become de rigueur among stylish men on red carpets, the actor opted for a grouping of diamond leaves by Boucheron that splashed down one side of his Valentino tux jacket. "It's like ivy in a garden," he explained on the red carpet. Domingo accessorized the look with Valentino shoes and an Omega timepiece. Dunst completed her look with Kwiat diamond jewels and Gianvito Rossi shoes. Chase Infiniti in Louis Vuitton Kevin Mazur/Getty Images Roundly agreed to be among the night's most artful looks, One Battle After Another star and Golden Globe nominee Chase Infiniti exuded modern elegance in this custom look by Louis Vuitton, which consisted of a silver metallic hand-embroidered bustier paired with a long velvet skirt. The actress finished her look with De Beers diamond jewels and Brandon Blackwood shoes. Britt Lower in Loewe Kevin Mazur/Getty Images Asymmetric draping resulted in a beautiful blend of classic styling and modernity in this deep green gown worn by Severance star and Golden Globe nominee Britt Lower, designed by Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez for Loewe. Ayo Edebiri in Chanel Michael Buckner/2026GG/Penske Media via Getty Images On the red carpet, the glamorous look sported by The Bear star and perennial Golden Globe nominee Ayo Edebiri drew comparisons to Dorothy Dandridge. Edebiri noted that she fell in love with her velvet Chanel off-the-shoulder gown, embellished with pearl and resin brooches at the shoulders, when she saw it during Matthiew Blazy's debut collection for the French house in October. "I immediately thought, that's the one," she said on the carpet. The actress completed her look with Tiffany & Co. jewels. Patrick Schwarzenegger in Dolce & Gabbana Gilbert Flores/2026GG/Penske Media via Getty Images Among the multitude of double-breasted tuxedos at the Golden Globe Awards, The White Lotus' Patrick Schwarzenegger wore one of the best, thanks to a small but key detail: the nipped-in waist, which immediately put style fans in mind of a 1930s cut that adds just a splash of glamour to the silhouette. The look by Dolce & Gabbana also features wide satin lapels and wide-leg trousers. The brooch that finished the look is also by Dolce & Gabbana.
