[Warning: Potentially Triggering Content] Matt Prokop has been busted for some serious alleged crimes! According to TMZ on Friday, the High School Musical 3: Senior Year star was arrested on December 24, 2025, in Victoria County, Texas. He is currently being held without bail on multiple charges, including alleged possession of child pornography. OMG. People reported Matt faces four misdemeanor charges, as well. That includes one count of a violation of bond - protective order, one count of evading arrest or detention, and two counts of resisting arrest, search, or transportation. Local outlet Crossroads Today revealed his arrest reportedly stems from a violation of bond conditions from an arrest in May 2024, in which he was charged with resisting arrest and aggravated assault of a family member. There aren't a lot of other details about the bust. However, following Matt's arrest, his ex-girlfriend, Lucy, who was also previously engaged to the actor, came forward to say she is the alleged victim of the charges and accused him of abuse. She told Page Six on Sunday: "After many years of abuse, the effects are still very real and continue to impact my life. Right now, I'm taking time to heal privately, with the support of close friends and family. Taking this time does not lessen the seriousness or harm of his actions. Being young myself, I truly did not understand the severity of the case. Taking this time does not lessen the seriousness or harm of his actions." OMG! This poor woman! Our hearts break for her! As Perezcious readers may know, Matt has a history of alleged abuse. Sarah Hyland accused him of verbal and physical abuse during their five-year relationship. The Modern Family actress claimed in court filings in May 2014 that he slammed her into a car and choked her during an argument. Awful. Her TV mom, Julie Bowen, thankfully, stepped in and helped Sarah break up with Matt in August 2014. However, per her restraining order filing, the split led Matt to threaten to kill her dog and burn down her house. Sarah managed to secure a restraining order against her ex, and he was ordered to stay away from her for three years.
