Bob Saget has been gone for four years, but his memory lives on in the hearts of his Full House castmates - and those who loved him. The actor died in January 2022 at the age of 65. He was found in his Orlando, Florida, hotel room while on tour, with the medical examiner later confirming his death was a result of "blunt head trauma" from an "accidental" fall. After his passing, Saget's TV family came together to honor the beloved actor, who most famously played Danny Tanner on Full House from 1987 to 1995. Saget reprised the role on Fuller House from 2016 to 2020. On the fourth anniversary of his death, Friday, January 9, Candace Cameron Bure and John Stamos were the first of his former costars to share sweet memories of the late star. Your ears still ring with what was there, but the sound is gone," John Stamos, who portrayed Uncle Jesse, wrote via social media. "The heart of it is gone. It's empty. It's not a sharp pain. It's a low hum. Soft. Constant. Something you carry until everything gets quiet." The actor explained, "Missing someone is love with nowhere to go. So it sits beside you. It waits. Hoping they'll walk back through the door and the laughter will start again." Stamos expressed disbelief at how much time ad passed, adding, "4 f***ing years. Can't believe it. I miss you, Bob. This was an unimaginably painful shock that we, his family, and friends experienced, and not surprisingly, January 9 can bring us right back to how horrible that feeling and that day were," Rizzo began a lengthy Instagram post. "But the reason I say we all lost Bob is because over the years, the outpouring of messages, hundreds and thousands of messages I've received from all of you saying how much he meant to you and how you've felt such a massive loss as well, has been beyond remarkable." John Stamos Admits 'Full House' Cast Isn't as Close After Bob Saget's Death She recalled, "So many of you felt he was part of your family too. So many of you have literally said, 'he raised me' or 'he felt just like a dad to me.' That is why I profoundly recognize that on January 9, we all lost somebody incredibly dear and special to us." Rizzo continued: "I'm also always so grateful to be able to go back and see all of the sweet and hilarious videos and pictures that we shared together over the years. But it hit me this time while making this video that so much of this I have shared in some way before, and it made me really sad to think that I have a finite amount of videos and photos, and I can't ever record any more. But I guess that makes me realize just how precious the ones I have truly are." She concluded, "Thank you all for continuing to love Bob, remember him, and celebrate him. It means more than you know." After seeing Rizzo's tribute, which featured a video montage of some of her best moments with Saget,Cameron Bure responded, writing, "My heart 🤍🤍🤍."
