Lala Kent has a very personal history with Ambyr Childers - and not just through their mutual ex, Randall Emmett. "Once it was, like, you've moved on [and] found a new guy and I had met your kids, I did not sleep around at all," Kent, 35, said on the Friday, January 9, debut episode of their "Unlikely Affair" podcast. "But, once I stopped sleeping with him, I was very pregnant." Kent started dating Emmett, now 54, amid his divorce from Childers, 37. The twosome announced in September 2020 that they were expecting their first baby together, his third. Kent gave birth to daughter Ocean in March 2021, months before she and Emmett broke up following infidelity allegations. (Emmett denied the claims at the time.) "I was so horny when I was pregnant, like, it was bad," Kent recalled on Friday's episode. "I would, like, look at the corner of things and be like, 'If I could just launch myself [at it] just right.' I remember I would go into the closet, [where] it was the only area where there wasn't a direct camera on me, and I would think of you." "I f***ing love that. Do you know how much [joy] that brings me?" Childers quipped, later revealing she had her own surprise story about Kent to confess publicly. "We were still in and out of the same house. We were nesting, but you were also in the house at the same time." At one point, Childers walked into her two daughters' bathroom and discovered kids London and Rylee "playing with [Lala's] hair extensions." "I, obviously, knew they were yours and I was so angry," the You actress recalled. "I was so mad, like, 'I'm gonna f***ing steal these,' and I took your hair extensions." While Childers admitted that she's unsure whether she still has Kent's faux hair, the pair called their unlikely friendship to be "God's plan." Kent and Childers slowly became friends after Kent's breakup with Emmett. "It's just such a wonderful bond," Kent exclusively told Us Weekly at iHeartRadio's Jingle Ball last month. "I think you hear about people separating, and they go and move on with their lives, and they kind of come together, and it's like, 'Oh yeah, my ex-wife is best friends with my new wife.' It's very different [for us]. We call it what it is in this podcast. She was the wife, I was the mistress. It's very uncommon, it's untraditional and it's f***ing wonderful." Childers further told Us that she and Kent "show up" for one another and their respective children. "That's the biggest thing for these kids," Kent, who welcomed her second child in 2024 using a sperm donor, added at the time. "We are two women who have been through things, and we are scarred and wounded, and that comes with age and experience. ... I mean, she's my rock so often, and I hope I'm her rock."
