Kendall Jenner is breaking down why she hit pause on dating after a string of serious relationships. "I'm actually in a, like, me era right now," Jenner, 30, said on the Friday, January 9, episode of Owen Thiele's "In Your Dreams" podcast when asked about her dating status. "I know that might sound corny ... but when I turned 29, I had a crash-out about turning 30." She continued, "When I turned 29, I remember saying to myself, I do feel like I've been in [relationships] and there's nothing wrong with it. I've had great relationships, I've had not-so-great relationships, but I felt like through my 20s, I was in a lot. I was in a few long-term consistent relationships ... near each other." Jenner notably dated NBA star Devin Booker on and off from 2021 to 2022. During one of her breaks from Booker, 29, Jenner was briefly linked to singer Bad Bunny in 2023. The pair called it quits in December 2023, and Jenner remained single before eventually reconciling with Booker again in early 2025. Kendall Jenner and Devin Booker's Relationship Timeline "I never really had my 20s to myself," the supermodel told Thiele, 29, on Friday's episode. "When I turned 29, I made a minor commitment to myself. I was, like, 'I'm not going to reject anything [and] I'm going to stay open to anything that feels like it would suit me,' but I really wanted to have a 'me year' where I chose myself." According to Jenner, her "me year" was all about prioritizing self-care and inner happiness. "Not to say that didn't mean that people came into my life or didn't come into my life, [but] it wasn't really about that," she said. "It was just about being, like, 'I want to have fun, I want to choose myself and I want to do what I want to do.'" The 818 Tequila founder further pointed out that she does tend to be "a really great girlfriend." "I really love to be present for my partner, and I really put them first most of the time," Jenner stated. "So, I think, when I turned 29, I was like, 'I really want to put myself first right now.' So, that's where I'm at.'" Devin Booker and Kendall Jenner attend the 2022 US Open in New York City. Elsa/Getty Images Jenner wanted to "fall in love with" herself again after her respective breakups from Bad Bunny and Booker. "I felt like I had a bit more trauma from relationships throughout my 20s than I thought I did," she said. "A lot of it was coming out [and] I was also going through my Saturn return. ... I was in my Saturn return and it felt like it was never-ending, and I was really, like, emotionally, just like, 'What is happening? There's too much going on.'" Kendall Jenner Is Embracing Her 'Kidless Freedom': 'I'm Still So Young' Jenner proclaimed that she's "definitely a lover" and is still hopeful to eventually meet The One. "I have a ton of dreams for myself, obviously, like, there's personal ones, which is, like, a beautiful family and things like that," she revealed. "[I want to be] in a beautiful relationship with a lot of understanding and love and all those things."
