Is this what really happened between Ashley Tisdale and her former mom group? As we've been following, The Suite Life of Zack & Cody alum opened up about leaving her "toxic" group of mom friends in an essay for The Cut last week. Although Ashley didn't name names, people speculated she called out her former pals, which included Hilary, Mandy, and Meghan Trainor. A rep for the 40-year-old actress denied that the article was about them. However, no one believes it! Not with how some within the group, including Hilary's own husband, reacted to the situation! There has been a lot of he said, she said about why Ashley fell out of the group. She claimed in the essay that her pals became cliquey and excluded her from events. Meanwhile, sources close to the group alleged the singer was self-absorbed to the point where she didn't even check in or help anyone during the LA wildfires, and her political views became an issue for them. It's a whole mess, and it's nowhere near over. Now, another insider is coming forward with more details about the mom group drama - and it sounds like a lot of it stems from "tension" between Hilary, Mandy, and Ashley! Whoa! An insider for Us Weekly insisted on Thursday that there was no "bad intent" when it came to leaving Ashley out of group hangouts: "The root of the issues was that some of the women just became closer friends with each other, and Ashley started to feel left out. There were times when hangouts or get-togethers were organized at the last minute, often casual outings or quick dinners, and Ashley wasn't included. There wasn't any bad intent. Friendships naturally changed and some people bonded more than others." It sucks, but unfortunately it's pretty common. Especially in El Lay! The insider shared that Ashley started to feel "less included," but swore her former besties "didn't mean to exclude her." In fact, they supposedly feel she blew the whole situation out of proportion! The source continued: "They felt like she made a bigger deal out of everything. The tension largely came from what the group saw as a clash in priorities and values." Hmm. Sure, it's easy for the ones repeatedly creating outings without her to feel like she's being the drama queen just for expressing hurt feelings over it. The insider went on to mention that "there were a lot of bonding moments Ashley felt she missed out on." At the same time, all was not well between Hilary, Mandy, and Ashley. The insider spilled that there were "ongoing miscommunications and quiet tension" between the three women, which "built up over time." They didn't get into details about what caused the tension and added instead: "Hilary and Mandy are extremely close, along with Kelsey Deenihan (their makeup artist), who is in the group, and a few others, and that dynamic naturally shaped the group. At times, it made Ashley feel like she didn't quite fit in with the rest of the circle." Oof... Since leaving the group, however, Ashley has been doing better. A second insider expressed that the Phineas and Ferb star "moved her primary residence to Malibu and feels more at peace than ever," adding: "It has been a fresh breath of air, and she is in a much better place." Unfortunately, the viral drama might be wrecking that "peace" right now - for all of them! Thoughts, Perezcious readers? Let us know in the comments!
