Jinger Duggar is sharing her thoughts on influenza vaccines. In an Instagram Q&A with her followers on Wednesday, January 7, the former Counting On star was asked if she gets the flu shot. "I've never had one and not sure if I'd get one or not at this point," Duggar, 32, replied. "But I sure do hate the flu." According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, seasonal influenza activity is elevated and continues to increase across the country. Common symptoms include fevers, sore throat, extreme fatigue and body aches. Duggar's post, however, comes days after the Department of Health and Human Services announced a major overhaul of the childhood vaccination schedule. Effective immediately, the administration said on Monday, January 5, that the flu vaccine will be taken off the official childhood vaccine schedule. For the current flu season, however, the CDC still recommends seasonal flu vaccination for children, pregnant women and adults. In her latest Instagram Q&A, the former TLC reality star didn't address if other family members do or don't get the flu vaccine. According to the CDC, Americans can take steps to avoid getting a serious case of the flu. Some tips include practicing excellent hygiene, like frequent handwashing and covering coughs. It's also recommended to avoid close contact with sick people, disinfect surfaces and support your immune system with a healthy diet, exercise and rest. This isn't the first time Duggar has made headlines for her health opinions. "I don't like doing medicine," she said on a podcast after offering her daughter ibuprofen for pain. "I'm anti-medicine." Vuolo ultimately took Felicity to the ER, clarifying that his wife isn't "so crunchy" that she's "against modern medicine" entirely. During her Q&A on Wednesday, Duggar was also asked to share her favorite workout or fitness habits. Jinger Duggar Felt Like Doctor Gave Her 'Hard Drugs' After Giving Birth After giving birth in March 2025, Duggar admitted that she hasn't been as devoted to fitness as she once was. "So I actually have not jumped back into working out since having Finn and I really hope to soon, because as the new year is starting, that is definitely one of the things at the top of my list, which I feel like it's just so cliche because everybody's like, 'My new year's resolution is to start working out again,'" she said. "Well, legit, that's my new year's resolution. That and to have more consistent devotions early in the morning. We'll see how it works." Duggar continued, "I really don't know right now. There's so much to juggle now with the kids and I gotta make it happen. It's time. In the past, I have done [virtual] Beachbody, which I love."
