But there's a twist. "Our manhunt is now a womanhunt," Alona Tal as FBI special agent Kayla Craig tells her fellow detectives at one point in the trailer that dropped on Thursday about an active serial killer on the loose. Cross had been asked to protect billionaire business titan Lance Durand, played by Matthew Lillard, after he received a death threat that linked him to the murder of a billionaire playboy. With Cross and Craig as partners, they pursue a killer who leaves behind gruesome clues. Meanwhile, Cross's partner, Detective John Sampson, played by Isaiah Mustafa, makes an unexpected connection that causes yet another falling out between the best friends. The Prime Video crime thriller is based on characters created by popular novelist James Patterson. The Paramount Television Studios and Amazon MGM Studios series will premiere Feb. 11 on Prime Video in over 240 countries and territories worldwide, launching with the first three episodes, followed by weekly installments leading to the season finale on March 18. Cross is created by executive producer and showrunner Ben Watkins, and new cast members for the second season include Jeanine Mason and Wes Chatham. Returning cast members include Mustafa, Tal, Samantha Walkes, Juanita Jennings, Caleb Elijah, Melody Hurd and Johnny Ray Gill.
