"Nothing too crazy, but crazy for my Black ass. And I was even selling some to some of my castmates. I'm not gonna snitch on y'all motherfuckers man." He explained that instead of attempting to help, they would just "talk shit" about him. @chrisreddis / instagram.com "I would hear them because, you know, some of that Adderall shit got you super hearing and shit," he continued. "But they wouldn't help me, you know. I would have panic attacks, they wouldn't be concerned about me or nothing. Just would talk shit. It's crazy how somebody would watch you destroy yourself." Chris addressed how there was one person who did look out for him during this troubled time - SNL costar Kenan Thompson's ex-wife, Christina Evangeline. Roy Rochlin / Getty Images Chris joined SNL as a featured player in the 43rd season in 2017 and worked alongside Kenan for five seasons before leaving in 2022, right before the 48th season. He also portrayed Kenan's brother on the self-titled NBC sitcom Kenan from 2021 to 2022. NBC / NBCU Photo Bank via Getty Images Chris said, despite the backlash and media coverage, there "wasn't a plan" to be with Christina, and he's "not the type of person to scheme on a person" or date his friends' partners. NBC / NBCU Photo Bank via Getty Images "It was a very unique, nuanced thing that happened, you know, we were all cool, it was never anything crazy until it got crazy," he said of his relationship with Christina. @chrisreddis / instagram.com Chris claimed that Christina was "the only one to call me on my shit, help me with my shit, she helped me with my therapy journey, and she told me things about her life that made me look at a lot of people involved differently." "It's always felt like an emotional double-edged sword for me, because I really love everything me and Kenan did, bro. I really appreciated every piece of work that we put together, I think that we were a great team, and I hate doing something to somebody that I know would hurt them." Kenan and Christina were divorced in June 2022 after being married for 10 years, according to multiple outlets. They share two daughters, Georgia, 11, and Gianna, 7. I don't feel player for this shit at all. But I did choose love, and that's what this story is. It made me look terrible to people that I love, and a lot of my fans." @chrisreddis / instagram.com Through tears, Chris explained that he and Kenan had discussed it, continued to work together for a year, and tried to keep it under wraps before "everybody found out and shit changed." Chris admitted "there's different ways I could have went about this," but he was "in love" and "spiraling out," and by the time everybody found out, he was already out of SNL. "I really appreciate everybody for the love, kind messages and all. I can't go back and forth with every mean message but the homewrecker narrative just isn't true," he wrote on Jan. 7. "Regardless of what you may feel about the situation, cheating was never the case. They weren't together and had not been for years when we started.
