David Harbour is taking a step back from Hollywood! After MONTHS of nonstop scandal, the Stranger Things star is removing himself from the spotlight. At least for a quick breather! On Tuesday, Variety reported the 50-year-old has dropped out of what was supposed to be an upcoming role in Behemoth!, a Tony Gilroy-directed film also set to star Pedro Pascal and Olivia Wilde. A representative at Searchlight Pictures, the studio behind the film, confirmed David's departure to the outlet. While the Hellboy star has yet to publicly offer a reason for stepping away from the film, fans will know he's been shrouded in controversy ever since his split from Lily Allen, who released a tidal wave of scathing claims about him in her latest album West End Girl. In P***y Palace, she accused him of being a "sex addict" and claimed she found "sex toys, butt plugs, lube" in his personal belongings. After the album's release, a woman named Natalie Tippett, a costume designer David met several years ago during production of Netflix's We Have a Ghost, came forward identifying herself as the "Madeline" in question, fessing up to having an affair with David. But that wasn't all for the Thunderbolts star... Just before the fifth and final season of Stranger Things was set to debut on Netflix, more unsavory claims emerged about David relating to a bullying and harassment complaint Millie Bobby Brown allegedly filed against him. A friend of Lily's told DailyMail.com: "Mille Bobby Brown filed a harassment and bullying claim before they started shooting the last season. There were pages and pages of accusations. The investigation went on for months ... Lily supported him throughout it all. It was a brutal time." The stars went on to shut down the claims, even appearing arm-in-arm at the show's red carpet premiere, but fans were still sus! Some wondered if that was just PR damage control. And most recently, the Violent Night actor allegedly attempted to incite a fight with a stranger at a bar by stealing his hat and egging him on. A source with direct knowledge of the situation told TMZ last month: "David has always been honest about managing his bipolar disorder. Wouldn't be surprised if that's what he's dealing with here after working non-stop all year and having his personal life under public scrutiny. That would be stressful for anyone but even more so for someone who is bipolar." Suffice it to say, the dude's been in the spotlight a LOT lately... for all the wrong reasons!
