Ohhhh, boy. The royal family drama machine is revving up again, and this time a new book is throwing gasoline all over the palace gates. According to author Robert Jobson's latest tell-all The Windsor Legacy, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle didn't just ruffle a few royal feathers on their way out of The Firm. No, they allegedly exhausted just about everyone in their path - including the late Queen Elizabeth II herself! Related: The Rare Photo Of Meghan Markle & Prince Harry That Stays On Display In King Charles' Home Jobson claims in the new book that when Meghan first entered the royal orbit, the Queen was optimistic. She reportedly saw Meghan as a modern asset, admiring her background, her looks, and her ability to communicate. But fast-forward to the Sussexes' California escape in 2020, and that warm welcome had supposedly turned ice cold behind the scenes. Public smiles aside, the Queen was allegedly over it, Jobson wrote: "[The Queen was] tired of the drama." Yikes. The book says Her Majesty got so fed up that she redirected Harry's calls straight to his father, then-Prince [and now King] Charles. Talk about passing the buck, royal-style! But if the Queen thought Charles would have more patience, think again. Jobson writes that Harry's conversations with his dad weren't exactly calm father-son heart-to-hearts. Instead, the Duke of Sussex allegedly went full meltdown mode at one point when Harry came around to asking for some money! It started when Harry allegedly: "Swore at [Charles] and demanded funds." WHAT?!?! According to the book, Charles eventually hit his breaking point and vented to friends with a line that has already become instant royal folklore: "I'm not a bank." Zing! The book goes on to say the Queen was baffled by Harry's behavior during the Megxit negotiations, too - reportedly describing the entire situation as downright bizarre. She apparently felt personally let down by the couple's decision to step away, no less. Jobson wrote: "She made it clear to those close to her that privately she felt let down by the Sussexes' departure, which she saw as short-sighted and a missed opportunity." And this wasn't just post-Megxit bitterness. Jobson claims cracks were forming even before the wedding bells rang in 2018. While Charles initially thought Meghan was a positive influence on his youngest son, his excitement reportedly cooled by the time the engagement was announced. The author penned: "By the time of the engagement announcement, his enthusiasm seemed to have waned. When staff offered their congratulations, his response was notably restrained." Then there was the infamous tiara drama. Harry allegedly clashed with the Queen's longtime dresser, Angela Kelly, over which sparkly headpiece Meghan could wear to wed. When the Queen learned about the argument, Jobson claims her reaction was apparently far from amused: "She was very disappointed." The book paints Harry as tense and short-tempered during that period. And Jobson even went so far in his writing to suggest that it was Harry - and not Meghan - who was desperately trying to control every detail and causing waves with staff. Which, uh, wow!!! A source close to Harry dismissed the Jobson book entirely with a sharp jab: "[Harry] is not a big fan of fiction." Oof. Whether this is explosive truth or royal revenge writing, one thing is clear: the House of Windsor is still leaking tea. And the cups are nowhere near empty! Reactions, y'all?! Share 'em (below)!
