Posted 1 hour agoHere's What's Happening With The Mickey Rourke GoFundMe To Save Him From EvictionWhat a confusing saga.by Larry FitzmauriceBuzzFeed StaffFacebookPinterestLink Mickey Rourke might have just won the day when it comes to the most confusing celebrity saga happening right now. Anadolu / Anadolu via Getty Images Over the past day or so, it's possible you've seen a GoFundMe circulating with the title "Help Mickey Rourke Stay in His Home." The fundraising drive was established in response to last month's news that the Oscar-nominated actor owed nearly $60k in rent and was in danger of being evicted from his Los Angeles property. Anadolu / Anadolu via Getty Images As of this writing, the GoFundMe - of which the goal was set to $100,000 - has raised over $101k. That's good news for Mickey, right? Well, the actor posted a statement to his Instagram suggesting that he is not pleased with the fundraising taking place on his behalf. "That's not me, okay?" he said. "I'd rather, if I needed money, I wouldn't ask for no fucking charity. I'd rather stick a gun up my ass and pull the trigger." Paul Archuleta / Getty Images "I wouldn't know what a GoFundMe foundation is in a million years," he said about the campaign, which was set up by Liya-Joelle Jones, who claims to be an assistant to Mickey's manager, Kimberly Hines. Even though she claimed in the GoFundMe that it was "created with Mickey's full permission," he insisted in his video statement that "My life is very simple, I wouldn't go to outside sources like that." Gotham / GC Images Mickey also went on to urge supporters not to donate to the campaign. "There's only one person I can think of that would do such a thing, and I hope it's not the person I'm thinking about," he said about who he suspects actually set up the campaign. "It's humiliating." BG020/Bauer-Griffin / GC Images In an interview with the Hollywood Reporter, Kimberly confirmed that her team was behind setting up the GoFundMe, and that Mickey's claims that he doesn't know who took action is "not true." "The GoFundMe was done for Mickey," she said. "That money's going to Mickey. It's not going to me. And if Mickey doesn't want this money now and decides, 'I don't want help, it's like it's charity,' the money will be returned." Hollywood To You/Star Max / GC Images "Nobody's trying to grift Mickey," she insisted. "I want him working. I don't want him doing a GoFundMe...

Mickey was cool with getting help the other day. And now Mickey's like, 'I'm not taking charity.'" SMXRF/Star Max / GC Images You can read the entire interview with Kimberly here, but be warned - parts of it are, honestly, pretty depressing. We'll see where this whole saga ends up soon enough!
