The annual figure skating nationals will help determine the men's, women's, pairs and ice dance teams that will represent the U.S. at the upcoming Four Continents Championships, the 2026 World Figure Skating Championships and perhaps most important, at the upcoming Olympics in Milan. U.S. Figure Skating Championships 2026 Competitors, Predictions Four senior national titles are up for grabs this week as the country's top figure skaters compete across the men's, women's, pairs and ice dance fields. The winners are expected to be named to the U.S. Olympic team for Milan in February. The field includes every national champion from last year: "Quad God" Ilia Malinin, Amber Glenn, ice dancers Madison Chock and Evan Bates, and pairs team Alisa Efimova and Misha Mitrofanov. The women's field also includes last year's silver medalist Alysa Liu, who went on to win the 2025 World Championship title. Malinin and Chock and Bates, meantime, were also World Champions last year and are favored to take home their fourth and seventh national titles, respectively.
