Sarah Paulson is paying tribute to Diane Keaton on what would have been the late actress' 80th birthday. "You would have been 80 today," Paulson, 51, wrote via Instagram on Monday, January 5. "Too many deep feelings to put here ... I was the luckiest person in the world to have traveled, laughed so hard we cried, watched a million and one movies, really cried, and eaten French fries with you. You. You. Wondrous, singular, YOU. I will miss you till the end of time." Alongside the message, Paulson shared a silhouette photo and another image of a tattoo of the initials "DK" on her arm. "Thank you @winterstone for my forever reminder, of one of my forever people," Paulson wrote, tagging the tattoo artist. "@mssarahcatharinepaulson you are an incredible friend!" @winterstone wrote via Instagram on Monday. "What you did for your people in time of heavy grief was just Amazing! Happy I got to share that moment with you! Sending love!" Text over the video read, "Rest easy DK! And happy heavenly birthday! Sending love to all her people!" News broke in October 2025 that Keaton died after suffering a bacterial pneumonia infection. She was 79. Days later, Paulson described her grief over the death of Keaton as "a profoundly sad time." In a separate interview with Access Hollywood, Paulson said that she was "the luckiest person in the world to have had [Keaton] in my life the way that I did." Two months later, Paulson - who met Keaton while filming the 1999 movie The Other Sister - shared some of the emails and texts she received from the late actress before her death. "Sarah, I hate your phone," Paulson shared at the Hollywood Reporter's Women in Entertainment gala in December 2025 that one of the messages read. "It is always full, and I can never leave a message. Moron, what is your address? Hurry home, sucker idiot. Di." When are you in? Love you, little special. Keep me abreast on developments. Diane, one of your friends." Paulson went on to become emotional as she shared a message she wished she could send to Keaton. "Dear dumb-dumb, I want to tell you I'm sorry that my voicemail was always full," Paulson said while wiping away tears. "I want to tell you I'm sorry I wasn't available every time you called me. I want to tell you how much crummier the world is without you in it. I want to tell you everything that happened in my life in the 54 days since you've been gone." Paulson continued, "I want to tell you how the world lost its mind with grief the day you died. And I want to tell you I will miss you forever, and I continue to be a moron, and I know that you would be heartened to know that. But most of all, I just want to say thank you.
