Victoria Jones was offered a plea deal prior to her death... that would have demanded her sobriety. As we've been following, Tommy Lee Jones' daughter was tragically found dead at the Fairmont San Francisco hotel on New Year's Day. As of now, no official cause of death has been declared, but audio from a police call suggests it could have been due to a drug overdose. The Broadcastify clip, which was obtained by TMZ, detailed the call coming in as a "code 3 for the overdose, color change." According to the Cleveland Clinic, a "color change" typically refers to something called cyanosis - the "discoloration of the skin, lips or fingernails caused by a lack of oxygen in the blood." You can listen to the call for yourself (below): As the San Francisco Police Department continues their investigation, new revelations have bubbled up relating to Victoria's history with drug abuse. Most recently, she was arrested in a drug-related incident in April 2025. According to legal docs obtained by TMZ, police conducted a welfare check on Victoria in Napa at the time and observed a white substance on her tongue and and an escalated speech pattern that was "fighting with her body movements." She admitted to using cocaine that day, but reportedly resisted arrest. Afterwards, she was offered a plea deal which would have let her off on the being under the influence of a controlled substance charge if she agreed to plead guilty to resisting/obstructing arrest and possessing a controlled substance. Per the agreement, Victoria would have been required to refrain from using drugs and would have had to agree to undergoing random drug tests. Additionally, she would have been placed on probation for one year and would have been required to attend alternative programs such as counseling. She would have also been on the hook for all the related expenses. The Men in Black II actress was slated to appear in court on January 20, where it would have been up to her to either agree to the plea deal or not. However, she tragically will now never be able to make the decision. In the wake of Victoria's death, the Jones family issued the following statement: "We appreciate all of the kind words, thoughts, and prayers. Please respect our privacy during this difficult time. Thank you. The Family of Victoria Kafka Jones." Our hearts continue to be with them. Rest in peace. If you or someone you know is experiencing substance abuse, help is available.
