Jimmy Kimmel had someone very important to thank for his Critics Choice Awards win! On Sunday night, the Jimmy Kimmel Live! host took home the trophy for Best Talk Show - quite an honor after his turbulent year, which included being suspended from the air for six days after making controversial comments about Charlie Kirk's death. It also came amid Donald Trump's pleas to get him and other late night hosts off the air. Since his return, Jimmy's continued to stand up against Trump - as his viewership has skyrocketed. Stepping on stage with a MASSIVE piece of paper, the comedian joked: "I really didn't expect this." LOLz! He then named several critics by name and thanked his producers and folks at ABC. He also acknowledged his fellow nominees, joking they "did not care enough" to attend the ceremony. But then things took a more serious note as he expressed: "Thank you to all the writers and actors and producers and union members, many of you who are in this room, who supported us, who really stepped forward for us, and reminded us that we do not take free speech for granted in this city or this country." After a large round of applause, he spoke to POTUS, sharing: "And most of all, I wanna thank our president, Donald Jennifer Trump, without whom we would be going home empty-handed tonight. So thank you, Mr. President, for all the many ridiculous things you do each and every day. It's been a banner couple of weeks, and we can't wait to get back on the air tomorrow night to talk about them." Hah! So great! It really has been an insane few weeks in the political world... We're sure Jimmy will have a LOT to say on all that! And we're also sure that somewhere, the prez is fuming over Jimmy's win. No matter how hard he tries, his plan to shut down the performer keeps failing!
