Kody Brown laid it all out on the table on Sister Wives while expressing remorse to Robyn Brown for putting their relationship on the backburner while processing his three splits. "Robyn and I are fighting for our marriage and our life together," Kody, 56, confessed to the cameras on the Sunday, January 4, episode of the TLC series. "We have been going through four years or more of breakup with the family." Kody admitted, "I guess what I'm saying is Robyn and I have a great relationship when I'm being me. When I'm being brave and kind." As Kody got real on Sunday's episode about how much he prioritized making amends with ex-wives Meri Brown, Janelle Brown and Christine Brown, Robyn, 47, had her own aha-moment about their relationship moving forward. (Kody's first three marriages ended back-to-back, with Christine, 53, leaving him in 2021. Janelle, 56, announced her split from Kody in 2022, and Meri, 54, confirmed their breakup the following year.) 'Sister Wives' Preview: Kody Asks Robyn to 'Accept' Him as a Monogamist "There is such a difference in Kody since he's done his apologies," she explained during a confessional. "There's like a piece in him I have not seen for a very long time." While Robyn acknowledged that Kody had taken steps forward after his ex-wives' apology tour - he apologized for his wrongdoings and rude remarks during multiple Sister Wives episodes - she said he does at times revert backwards. "We go through these periods where he is back to himself and we are like who we usually are in our relationship and it's really beautiful," Robyn shared. "We're having a great time and then something will happen and he's kind of back to - he reverts back to the angry divorced guy." 'Sister Wives' Clip: Robyn Reacts to 'Dangerous' Idea of Kody's Exes Returning Kody, however, remained adamant that he was ready to fight to keep Robyn happy and make their lives better. "I apologize for not trusting you, but you have my trust," Kody revealed, to which Robyn replied, "You have mine." Robyn, who shares two children with Kody, noted that although he did "get frustrated and angry" for the most part she always saw him trying "very hard to get it right." (Kody also adopted Robyn's three older children from her first marriage.) Janelle, Christine, Kody, Meri and Robyn Brown. Joe Pugliese/TLC/Everett Collection "I 100 percent feel like Kody meeting with his ex-wives and apologizing for his part was a good thing," she told the cameras. "I'm hoping, I'm praying that that will go a long way as far as any kind of healing that we may be able to achieve in the future as a family." Robyn got choked up during her chat with Kody, telling him, "I always knew you were going to get back to here." Kody thanked his spouse for "believing in me" before asking her the one thing he couldn't ask Meri, Janelle or Christine during his apologies. "Do you forgive me?" Kody asked. Robyn teared up, replying, "Yeah. Yes. Yes, I did as it was happening." Sister Wives' Robyn Brown Says She Doesn't Feel 'Steady' With Kody Brown She explained, "There's a lot of charity I had for you through it all because. Because I had gone through my own divorce and I know how toxic it can get." Kody was in agreement, calling his three splits a "crazy time" and a "scary" moment in his life. As Kody and Robyn decided to move forward with their monogamous relationship, Janelle celebrated the end of their marriage after getting a spiritual release from the church. "I am free. I am free. I'm free," Janelle declared during the Sister Wives episode, revealing that the church elders were "very kind" and granted her the release right then and there. "As I was leaving, I just kind of felt free. I felt like a weight had lifted off me," she explained. "So somewhere in the back of my mind, this must have been more important than I realized to have this done." Janelle later met up with former sister wife Meri, who was granted a spiritual release shortly after her split from Kody, to toast to her next chapter. The women had Turkish coffee at a restaurant and talked about feeling relieved now that they aren't tied to Kody at all. Janelle finished off her celebration by attending a "divorce party" that BFF Christine threw for her with their sisters and friends. Sister Wives' Kody Brown Calls Christine, Janelle Bond a 'Big F- You' "I got some flowers so everyone can make their own floral arrangement. There's temporary tattoos. We have those in case Janelle wants to get tatted today," Christine cheekily revealed. "And then there's, like, a spicy bar. We'll see how spicy she's willing to go." Janelle did end up getting a temporary tattoo, a rainbow lion on her neck, and went all in on the salsa bar, which Christine set up. "Even though I'm officially only divorced a few hours, like, it feels like I've been divorced a lot longer than that," Janelle revealed, noting she's not ready for a new romance just yet. Sister Wives airs on TLC Sundays at 10 p.m. ET.
