"This is so nice as someone who deeply, deeply, deeply cares what critics think of them and their work," the Studio star quipped from the stage. "This is what I'm looking for. I can cancel therapy this week, this is like - I'm good. I'm fixed. I'm fine, I think." Rogen beat out fellow nominees Adam Brody for Nobody Wants This, Ted Danson for A Man on the Inside, David Alan Grier for St. Denis Medical, Danny McBride for The Righteous Gemstones and Alexander Skarsgard for Murderbot. Jordan and More Stars Shine In addition to the acting award, Rogen and the team behind The Studio, including fellow co-creator Evan Goldberg, also won the 2026 Critics Choice award for best comedy series, with Rogen noting during his comedy actor win that Goldberg was "literally in the bathroom, but we'll tell him that I won when we get back." The Studio's Ike Barinholtz also took home the award for best supporting actor in a comedy series. The Studio previously won 13 awards at the 2025 Emmys, including a best comedy actor prize for Rogen, where the actor said he'd "never won anything" and had "bought a used bowling trophy at an estate sale" when he was a kid. After The Studio scored 23 Emmy nominations, Rogen told The Hollywood Reporter that he hoped the awards recognition would help the show book guest stars for season two. "Wrangling people and convincing them to join the show was one of the hardest parts of the first season," he said. "We worked hard to let them know that we weren't going to make them look bad or that it would be a waste of their time. Mostly what my brain does now is that I look at these Emmy nominations as something that will make it easier to book guest stars next season."
