Gone are the days of Jennifer Lopez being love sick over Ben Affleck! (For now... The singer kickstarted her Las Vegas residency at Caesars Palace on New Year's Eve, and totally took a jab at her ex-husband in the process! While talking to the crowd during the opening show, J.
Lo pointed out how long it's been since her last Vegas residency, which ran from 2016 to 2018. That was after her first engagement to the Good Will Hunting actor (which ended in 2003), but before her marriage to him, which they called off in 2024. A lot has happened - and she wasn't afraid to poke some fun at it! The artist teased: "It went by in a blink, didn't it, for those of you who were there on opening night ten years ago? And, you know, at that time I'd only been married twice." After a bunch of laughter, she corrected herself: "That's not true, it was only once. It felt like twice." LOLz! Laughing, she tacked on: "I'm just kidding!" Then while making a sweeping kick motion that was accompanied by a bass drum and cymbal hit from her drummer, she quipped: "It's over, and I just - boom - and it's fine. It's all good. The good news is that i'm learning and I'm growing, and we're in our happy era right now!" Hey, at least she can laugh about it now! This split had her down in the dumps for a LOOOONG time! And we mean, we get it. To have that not work out for you on such a global scale... not only was she dealing with heartbreak, we're sure her ego had quite the hit, too! But up and onwards she goes! Jennifer was also joined by her two kids, Max and Emme, later to ring in the new year. They joined her for a quick hug and to say hello to fans. It clearly made her night!
