University of Alabama quarterback Ty Simpson knows all about the burden of high expectations. The Martin, Tennessee, native was named the Tennessee Gatorade Player of the Year following his senior year at Westview High School in 2021, all while guiding his team to the state championship. As a highly sought after, five-star recruit out of high school, Simpson received offers from Clemson, Tennessee and Ole Miss, before ultimately choosing to attend Alabama.
