In January 2024, the Baywatch alum revealed she was diagnosed with stage II cribriform carcinoma breast cancer the previous month. Eggert explained that she was performing a self-exam when she found a lump in her breast, but couldn't see a specialist at the time. "It really was throbbing and hurting," she told People at the time. "I immediately went to my general practitioner and she told me I had to immediately go get it looked at. But the problem was I just couldn't get an appointment.
