Travis Kelce's high school coach doesn't know when the Kansas City Chiefs tight end will decide to retire, but he believes that whenever it happens, there will be another job waiting for him. "You will see him in movies, in my opinion," Cleveland Heights High School football coach Jeff Rotsky told Cleveland Jewish News in a story published Tuesday, December 30. "Travis will be successful at whatever he chooses to put his mind to." Kelce, 36, already has a handful of acting credits to his name, including an appearance in Happy Gilmore 2 and a recurring role in Ryan Murphy's Grotesquerie. Rotsky said he is also looking forward to Kelce's other big role - being a husband to Taylor Swift. Travis Kelce Says He's 'Still Searching' for Potential Retirement Decision "I'm excited for him to become a husband," Rotsky said. "There's very few people in the world that could handle the limelight the way he does." He continued, "And Taylor is the kindest young lady. I've only met her three times, but she is so humble, nice, wonderful and just an amazing person. Seeing how happy they are together makes me very happy because they each incredibly support the other and what they do." Kelce and Swift, also 36, announced their engagement in August after two years of dating. The couple hasn't revealed yet when exactly they plan to get married, but Swift said in an October appearance on The Graham Norton Show that wedding planning is next on her to-do list. "I'm just doing the album thing now, which is a big thing," she said, referring to her album The Life of a Showgirl, which she released October 3. "Then, I think the wedding is what happens after that in the scheme of the planning, but I'm so excited about it. I know it's gonna be fun to plan because I think the only stressful weddings are the ones where you have a small amount and people are on the bubble." Stephen A. Smith Thinks Travis Kelce Will Retire to Be With Taylor Swift But other than saying "I do," fans still don't know much about Kelce's upcoming plans. The Chiefs have one game remaining in the 2025 season and are shockingly out of the playoff picture after appearing in five of the last six Super Bowls. Kelce considered retirement last season and could opt to hang it up after Kansas City's season finale on Sunday, January 4, against the Las Vegas Raiders. While Rotsky doesn't know what Kelce will decide, he does believe the Westlake, Ohio, native can still contribute at a high level - and that he might want to do so again next year, after quarterback Patrick Mahomes presumably recovers from his torn ACL. "He obviously proved he can still play," Rotsky said. "I'd love to see him play another year and make a run with everybody healthy on that team." In a pregame interview before the Chiefs' Christmas Day game against the Denver Broncos, Kelce told former NFL star Tony Gonzalez that he is "still searching" for answers about his future. "I feel like I have a lot of love for this game," he said. "If I came back it'd just be to answer that flame that I still love this thing. If it was just Sundays, I could play till I was 50. Obviously, there's so much that goes into it. Arrowhead being Arrowhead, the atmosphere [and] playing in front of them, those will be memories that I cherish [when] I'm old and gray. ... It's special, man, and I love playing for them."
