A Texas district attorney is doubtful of online rumors suggesting there could be an active serial killer in Houston after three bodies were found in and along the banks of the city's bayous. Including the bodies recovered last week, 34 people have been found dead in and near Houston bayous in 2025, according to KPRC-TV. In 2024, the TV station noted there was a similar trend: 35 bodies found in the city's waterways.
