Jake and Romy Reiner are sticking by each other during this unimaginable tragedy. The brother and sister have been supporting each other ever since their parents, Rob and Michele, were tragically killed earlier this month, allegedly by their own brother Nick, who is now in custody. They've since been spotted in Malibu, where they spent the holidays and Romy's recent 28th birthday as they grieve this heartbreaking situation. Now, a source is opening up about how their already really "strong bond" is pulling them through this. Opening up to People on Wednesday, the insider shared that the duo is still trying to process the deaths: "This nightmare isn't even over for Romy and Jake. There is a lot more to be done, but they've been surrounded by loved ones and support in all forms, and that will continue." From mourning their parents (privately and publicly) to dealing with their brother's murder charges and all the emotional trauma they've endured (not just amid these killings but over the years amid Nick's mental health and addiction challenges), this truly is only the beginning of a long grieving process for them. That strong bond has really helped them in the last two weeks." They've also been trying to keep themselves busy in the immediate aftermath: "Romy and Jake are going out for walks or errands, trying to embrace any opportunities for moments of normalcy when it feels right, but this is all still so new and overwhelming." The confidant reflected: "It's surreal. They're still processing and their grief journey has really just begun." Rob and Michele's relatives have all come out to support the pair, and they also have Rob's adopted daughter Tracy, 61, from a previous marriage, to lean on.
