A heartbreaking discovery may have been made in the case of missing teen Camila Mendoza Olmos. On Christmas Eve, the unthinkable happened: a Texas family's daughter disappeared early in the morning. The Bexar County Sheriff's Office revealed on Monday, that the 19-year-old "left her residence" on foot early on December 24. WOAI-TV reported she was seen in home security footage opening the back door of her car, but ultimately leaving the vehicle. Camila's mother told authorities it wasn't uncommon for her to go on early morning walks... but never to not return. They revealed on Facebook: "A passing driver traveling on Wildhorse Pkwy that morning captured footage believed to show Camila walking northbound on Wildhorse Pkwy around 7:00 a.m., between Shetland Wind and Caspian Spring. This is the last confirmed sighting investigators currently have." See (below): The FBI soon got involved in the case. And sadly, on Tuesday, they made a grim discovery. According to Sheriff Javier Salazar, the BCSO and FBI were searching a nearby field on Tuesday afternoon when they stumbled upon a deceased body. Next to the corpse? A firearm, which authorities are working to determine if it's a match the missing gun reported by Camila's relative. As of now, the body has not been identified and a cause of death is likely a few days out... but information has since been uncovered by investigators relating to Camila's mental health. She reportedly suffered from depression, and was working through challenges in school, work, and a relationship that recently came to a mutual end.
