We have another sad update about Tylor Chase... It's been so heartwarming to see the Ned's Declassified star's former Nickelodeon friends come out of the woodwork to try and help him. After a video of his homelessness went viral this month, everyone has been captured by his story. Mighty Ducks star Shaun Weiss offered him a room at Eleven 11, which is a recovery center he works with. Then, his former co-star Daniel Curtis Lee even took him to lunch and got him a hotel room while the California rainstorms were hitting the state hard. Barbershop owner Jacob Harris worked with the 36-year-old's dad multiple times to try and get him into a treatment facility - to no avail. They had him in a 72 hour involuntary psychiatric hold, and he was supposed to be transferred to a rehab center, but he ended up getting released. Shaun found this out when he spotted Tylor back on the streets, smoking methamphetamine. Ugh. So sad. Related: What Really Happened With Tylor The Night Before Crisis Team Intervened? His friends have really been trying everything they can, but until Tylor decides to voluntarily get help, it seems like there's nothing more anyone can do. Spokesperson for the Riverside Police Department, Ryan Railsback, told TMZ that law enforcement are being prevented from helping Tylor because of penal codes in California. What does that mean? Cali laws state that if he's not legally been identified as a danger to himself or others, or gravely disabled, police can't help him. Of course, you might remember the crisis teams saying Tylor was a danger to himself - but we guess in the eyes of the law, that was not enough. Jumping off of that, Railsback also explained how being homeless isn't a crime, and Tylor has been politely declining all their offers to help. Plus, even if they arrested him, he'd likely just be charged with possession of drugs and served a summons. So they wouldn't be able to hold him or put him into any sort of treatment. All in all, Railsback said: "We can't kidnap him." Such a sad situation. We hope Tylor will come around soon. Until then, we wish him the best.
