Mumbai witnessed a deeply emotional evening as members of the Hindi film industry came together for a special screening of Ikkis. Sriram Raghavan's upcoming period drama also serves as a tribute to legendary actor Dharmendra. The film marks Dharmendra's final on-screen appearance following his death on November 24 at the age of 89. This makes the night especially emotional for family, friends and colleagues. The screening saw the presence of several industry stalwarts. Salman Khan, Rekha, Tabu, Jeetendra, Manish Malhotra, Genelia and Riteish Deshmukh, Randeep Hooda, Fatima Sana Shaikh, along with Lulia Vantur, were among the many celebrities who arrived to pay their respects. One of the most moving moments came when Salman Khan paused beside a poster of Dharmendra, standing silently for a few seconds in a quiet, heartfelt tribute. Another heartfelt moment was when Rekha blew a kiss to Agastya Nanda's photograph on the poster as she made her way to the screening. The Deol family was out in full support. Sunny Deol, visibly emotional, posed beside his father's poster with a composed smile, while Bobby Deol arrived later with wife Tanya, son Aryaman and cousin Abhay Deol. Their presence exemplified the personal significance of the evening. The film's lead pair, newcomers Agastya Nanda and Simar Bhatia, arrived together and posed for photographers. While Agastya kept it lowkey with a navy blue kurta, Simar stunned in a monochrome saree with a statement leather belt. Jaideep Ahlawat, who plays a pivotal role, kept it understated in a grey jacket layered over a black T-shirt and trousers. Ikkis features Agastya as Arun, the son of Dharmendra's character, Brigadier ML Khetarpal, and also stars Jaideep Ahlawat, Simar Bhatia, Sikandar Kher and Vivaan Shah. The film is set to release in theatres on January 1, 2026.
