Watch: Exclusive: George Clooney Admits He and Amal Clooney Don't Always "Get It Right" As ParentsThe Clooneys have found their ticket to paradise in France. George Clooney and wife Amal Clooney have been granted French citizenship along with their 8-year-old twins Alexander and Ella, according to a naturalization decree viewed by People. And it won't be a big transition for George and Amal-who married in Venice, Italy, in 2014-because they have already been living in a rural area of the country. "We live on a farm in France," he told Esquire in October. "A good portion of my life growing up was on a farm, and as a kid, I hated the whole idea of it." Despite his reservations, he was "worried about raising our kids in L.A., in the culture of Hollywood," so the couple decided to try a more agrarian lifestyle-which he believes is best for Alexander and Ella. "But now, for them, it's like-they're not on their iPads, you know?" the Oscar winner said. "They have dinner with grown-ups and have to take their dishes in. They have a much better life." photosAmal Clooney's Best LooksThe 64-year-old also thought living in Europe would help protect his kids' privacy and keep them away from nepo baby labels. "I felt like they were never going to get a fair shake at life," he continued. "France-they kind of don't give a s--t about fame. I don't want them to be walking around worried about paparazzi. I don't want them being compared to somebody else's famous kids." (Photo by Cindy Ord/Getty Images)After all, their children couldn't care less about their parents' fame. "Even at 8, I've got my daughter rolling her eyes now, which is a new thing," George said on the Dec. 3 episode of Travis Kelce and Jason Kelce's New Heights podcast. "I'd say like, 'Hey, you know, you know, your dad's a big star.' And she just rolls her eyes." But don't get it twisted: George-who was previously married to Talia Balsam from 1989 to 1993-said his kids are "really well-behaved," perhaps because he's a "little strict" at home. "I have to say, it's a pretty funny adventure raising kids," the ER star continued, "'cause you don't realize how much they're listening to you."For a look at which other big stars have distanced themselves from Hollywood, read on.
