Nicole Kidman is doing everything she can to make her split from Keith Urban easier on her children. As you know, the actress and her country star hubby called it quits earlier this year after almost two decades of marriage. It came as a huge shock to everyone - especially to their children! But even with these big (sometimes awkward) transitions, and messy breakups, Nicole is still putting her kiddos first. According to an insider for RadarOnline, the Babygirl star stepped out of her comfort zone and put all her woes aside for the holiday season. She reportedly reunited with her ex for the sake of their kids: "Nicole has got very mixed emotions about spending time under the same roof as Keith again, but she's determined to do it for the sake of her girls." Nicole and Keith share 17-year-old Sunday Rose and 14-year-old Faith Margaret. She also has two kids from her previous marriage to Tom Cruise, 33-year-old Isabella Jane and 30-year-old Connor. Related: How Keith Proved He Was Done With Nicole Marriage Per the source, the split has been rough on the exes' teens, and they "miss" their dad a lot, which is what prompted Nicole to take the high road: "The girls have hardly seen Keith in the last six months as he's been touring and they've been overseas with Nicole. They miss him terribly, and while they've been trying to stay strong, Nicole knows what they really want is some normal family time. So she's vowed to do whatever it takes to give them that." Aww. Such a great parent! The insider continued: "As far as [their daughters] knew, their parents had a solid marriage, so it's been a hard adjustment." Nicole even went as far as to return to Nashville for the celebrations, despite preferring to stay home: "Everyone who has seen him lately has told her that he's struggling. She doesn't want to see him suffer and doesn't want to alienate him from their kids, so she's going to be the bigger person, even though she's still very hurt" She's even banded some loved ones together to help her out - but that's still not going to take away the sting: "Even with her tribe of people around her, it's going to take some serious discipline for her to keep her emotions in check. It's all very raw for her still. But she's saying she can handle it because she'll do anything for her daughters. What a mature thing to do for the sake of their daughters. So sweet.
