Brigitte Bardot fought for animals until the very end. One day before her passing, the iconic French film star was seen on social media advocating for a dog in need. In a video shared to her animal rescue Fondation Brigitte Bardot's official Instagram page, the 91-year-old cuddled up with Urphe, a "young doberman" who struggles with "widespread severe osteoarthritis." In the footage, Brigitte pets the "very affectionate, very very playful" pooch, who is in desperate need of a good home. The post's caption revealed: "The Foundation is urgently looking for a family. A family that wants to give a chance to a doomed dog whose health is deteriorating. It broke our hearts to hear of his diagnosis and that's why we're making the call today." On Sunday, Fondation Brigitte Bardot announced her death with a somber statement: "The Brigitte Bardot Foundation pays tribute to the memory of an exceptional woman who gave everything and gave up everything for a world more respectful of animals. Her legacy lives on through the actions and struggles the Foundation continues with the same passion and the same fidelity to her ideals."
