There's one name on everyone's lips this weekend - Marty Supreme. The new A24 sports drama starring Timothée Chalamet is on track to double industry projections at the box office and be the biggest release for A24 yet. Plus, there's plenty of awards buzz for the sports drama. With the massive success of Marty Supreme, it stands to reason that the young Chalamet is finally a true-blue movie star. But the actor already has a fantastic resume under his belt. So, to celebrate the release of Marty Supreme this week, Watch With Us wants to take a look back and highlight five of his best movies so far. Meet Timothee Chalamet's Inner Circle: From Kylie Jenner to Zendaya 5. 'The French Dispatch' (2021) Wes Anderson's dollhouse love letter to journalists is set at the outpost of fictional American magazine The French Dispatch in the equally fictional French town of Ennui-sur-Blasé in 1975. This charming anthology film takes the form of four articles from The French Dispatch, including an obituary of the publication's esteemed editor, Arthur Howitzer Jr. (Bill Murray), whose will stipulated that the magazine be suspended following his death. The articles/vignettes follow a cycling tour of Ennui-sur-Blasé led by reporter Herbsaint Sazerac (Owen Wilson), a profile of the incarcerated artist Moses Rosenthaler (Benicio del Toro), a student protest led by Zeffirelli (Chalamet) and the story of a memorable private dinner from food journalist Rosebuck Wright (Jeffrey Wright). With plenty of wry humor, eccentric characters and meticulous production design, The French Dispatch is an artistic triumph and further sharpening of Anderson's filmmaking prowess. 4. 'Little Women' (2019) Greta Gerwig's spirited adaptation of the classic Louisa May Alcott novel follows the lives of the eclectic March sisters: Jo (Saoirse Ronan), Amy (Florence Pugh), Beth (Eliza Scanlen) and Meg (Emma Watson), as they endure life's ups and downs while they come of age. Set the 19th century, Little Women jumps back and forth in time to craft a stunning portrait of love, loss, time and friendship, anchored by an ensemble cast that includes Laura Dern, Meryl Streep and Chalamet. At the 2020 Academy Awards, Little Women garnered a number of nominations, including Best Picture, and the film was indeed widely regarded as one of the very best of 2019. Featuring powerhouse performances from Ronan, Chalamet and Pugh in particular, the film was praised for its smart and unique retelling of a story that's already received seven film adaptations. Gerwig's Little Women still manages to stand apart with its lively direction and a strong emotional core, making a classic tale feel unmistakably modern. 3. 'Dune' (2021) Perhaps the sci-fi movie event of the decade, Dune is adapted from Frank Herbert's novel of the same name and stars Chalamet as Paul Atreides, son of Duke Leto (Oscar Isaac) and Lady Jessica (Rebecca Ferguson) of the noble House Atreides. When the Atreides family is tasked with taking control of the planet Arrakis by Emperor Shaddam IV (played by Christopher Walken in Dune: Part Two), they quickly realize their appointment was a plot to destroy them. With a great power coming into sharper focus within Paul, he realizes he must save his family and fulfill a destiny that he is only just beginning to comprehend. Denis Villeneuve's sweeping sci-fi epic delivers on the world of Dune the way David Lynch's botched 1984 attempt sadly could not. While the technical aspects are on another level - fully realized alien landscapes given a texture that is impressively realistic and totally immersive - Dune also delivers on being a fantastic adaptation of the beloved novel with a script that is both faithful and accessible to those unfamiliar with the source material. Led by a star-making performance from Chalamet, Dune is a blockbuster epic that delivers on artistry and entertainment value. 2. 'Call Me by Your Name' (2017) In the summer of 1983, teenager Elio (Chalamet) spends time with his family at their 17th-century Italian villa in Lombardy, which includes his mother (Amira Casar) and his archaeology professor father (Michael Stuhlbarg). But when Elio meets his father's new graduate student assistant, Oliver (Armie Hammer), he is thrust into an intense and passionate journey of self-discovery. Call Me by Your Name chronicles Elio and Oliver's romantic relationship that changes young Elio's life forever. A breakout role that made him a major talent to watch, Chalamet's performance as Elio earned him an Academy Award nomination for Best Actor. At 22 years old, this nomination made Chalamet the third-youngest performer to ever be nominated for the award. In the end, Call Me by Your Name is a gorgeous and melancholic film about love, identity and desire that is honest, raw and sensual. 1. 'Marty Supreme' (2025) In 1950s New York City, Marty Mauser (Chalamet) is a lowly shoe salesman and hustler with big dreams of becoming a champion table tennis player. However, no one
