Brandi Cyrus and Matt Southcombe are celebrating the holidays with an engagement. "It's been the craziest, biggest year of my life and I get to close it out saying YES to forever with my dream man," Cyrus, 38, captioned an Instagram post on Friday, December 26. "I'm so thankful everyday that my flight got cancelled and I walked into this coffee shop one afternoon and found you. You're my very best friend and everything I've spent my whole life looking for. I love you forever!!!" The DJ shared photos of her engagement, which showed Southcombe down on one knee next to his motorcycle. She was all smiles as she said yes before they shared a kiss. Cyrus also stood next to her man for a sweet portrait snapped at sunset, showing off her ring. It appears that they also had a dinner to celebrate the engagement, as Cyrus could be seen kissing Southcombe while sitting at a table decorated with white flowers in a fourth photo. "Not sure what I did to deserve such a good woman but I'm grateful for her everyday day!" Southcombe commented on Cyrus' Instagram post. "I love you!" "Locked down the dream girl," Southcombe wrote on Friday. "Never met a sweeter, harder working woman in my life." Cyrus hasn't been too public about her relationship with Southcombe, an Australia native and the founder of Mountain Choppers, which is "a one man, one dog operation run from a small 2.5 bay detached workshop located on the edge of Tamborine Mountain, Australia." According to his company's website, Southcombe focuses on "building, restoring, riding and maintaining traditional Harley Davidson Choppers from the 40s through to early 80s." It appears their relationship goes back to at least July 2024, which was when Cyrus started "liking" Southcombe's Instagram photos. Cyrus made her debut on Southcombe's Instagram in October 2024. She was also featured in a collection of photos from his December 2024 Christmas celebrations. "Full stocking this Christmas," Southcombe wrote at the time. "Hope everyone had a great day with the people they love." Cyrus hinted earlier this year that she had been dating "an Aussie" but didn't share any more details about Southcombe. At the time, Cyrus' mom, Tish Cyrus, joked that her daughter was "so negative" about love before meeting a "7-foot" man. Tish, 58, appeared to be referencing Southcombe's height, since he towers over Brandi. "I was like, 'Men are trash. I'm gonna be alone forever. I don't need this s***,'" Brandi said. "But here's the thing. I met somebody my age that's also - he's had his fair share of s*** through his life with relationships, and so have I." She added, "For me and for Matt, we were looking for a partner. Someone that compliments my life, makes me better, wants the same things I want. I think that's what you got to start looking for." Tish welcomed Brandi and Trace, 36, with ex Baxter Helson. They were adopted by her second husband, Billy Ray Cyrus, whom she wed in 1993. Tish and Billy Ray, 64, went on to welcome daughters Miley, 33, and Noah, 25, and son Braison, 31, before splitting in 2023.
