The sports podcast will go live on Netflix each Sunday, beginning with the Jan. 11 episode, which will stream at 11:30 p.m. ET. Following the episode, the video podcast will be available on Netflix and Spotify, with the audio version available on all other audio platforms. During the NFL season, Simmons will be joined by "Cousin" Sal Iacono for their long-running Guess the Lines weekly series. And starting this spring, Simmons will be joined by Zach Lowe to cover the NBA. In addition to The Bill Simmons Podcast, The Zach Lowe Show, The McShay Show, The Rewatchables, Conspiracy Theories and more are also coming to the platform. Additional details on the other titles will be announced at a later date. The Jan. 11 announcement is the first time a date has been given for the podcasts moving to the streaming platform. Netflix has also recently struck a deal with iHeartMedia to stream video episodes of more than 15 iHeartPodcasts, including Charlamagne tha God's The Breakfast Club, My Favorite Murder, Chelsea Handler's Dear Chelsea, Bobby Bones Presents: The Bobbycast and more. A few days later it announced a similar deal with Barstool to bring three of Barstool's most popular podcasts, Pardon My Take, The Ryen Russillo Show and Spittin Chiclets to the platform. The streaming platform is moving into video podcasting as the medium grows in popularity, and as it seeks to compete with YouTube, the dominant platform for video podcasting. The video podcasts from iHeartMedia and Barstool are exclusive to Netflix.
