Actor Vikrant Massey has been honoured with the National Award for Best Actor for his performance in 12th Fail. The announcement was made during the 71st National Film Awards press conference held in Delhi on August 1. Directed by Vidhu Vinod Chopra, 12th Fail is based on the real-life story of IPS officer Manoj Kumar Sharma. In the film, Vikrant Massey plays Manoj, a young man from a small town who faces several struggles, including poverty, failure, and self-doubt, but still dreams of cracking the UPSC exams.
