Rob Reiner never gave up on his boy, but in the hours before his murder, his intuition was telling him something was off. It is now being reported that the famed Hollywood director and human rights champion was very worried this exact tragedy could play out... And he said it aloud just hours before his untimely death. As we've been covering, the famed director and his wife Michele were found dead in their home on Sunday afternoon. The night before, they'd been celebrating the season with friends at Conan O'Brien's holiday party. All was normal... except for some tension with their son, Nick. The 32-year-old, said to have been acting "crazy" and appearing out of place at the fancy bash, and his father were seen getting into a "very loud argument" before Rob and Michele left. Nick also got into an awkward confrontation with Bill Hader and just generally creeped out a ton of guests. We know Nick, who was living in his parents' guesthouse, checked into a hotel in Santa Monica at around 4 a.m. on Sunday, and the murders are believed to have happened at some point early that morning. Hours later, the murders were discovered at around 3:3o p.m., and it would be another several hours until Nick was taken into custody. It's all just so devastating, and the Reiners' friends are still trying to wrap their heads around it. While Nick struggled with addiction and mental health since his teenage years, many never thought he was capable of a horror like this. Though, other reports suggest those close enough to the family always had concerns in the back of their minds. In fact, a new unnamed celebrity is now claiming the When Harry Met Sally director himself was deeply worried about violence the night before it happened! According to DailyMail.com on Thursday, famous friends of the couple gathered for an impromptu memorial on Monday at their friend Albert Brooks' home. Guests included Billy Crystal and his wife Janice, Larry David, Bill Hader, and Conan O'Brien, all of whom have known the creatives for decades and saw them at Conan's party. During the memorial, according to an insider, an unnamed A-lister reportedly revealed the All in the Family alum had expressed being "scared" of what his screenwriter son might do if left alone. Minutes after Nick stormed off - after his upsetting chat with Bill - Rob got emotional, allegedly telling a group of friends: "I'm petrified of him [Nick]. I can't believe I'm going to say this but I'm afraid of my son. I think my own son can hurt me." Wow... Apparently, after hearing this, many of those in attendance were brought to tears. So eerie, if true. The outlet reached out to reps for all the celebs in attendance. One responded to deny the allegation, insisting Rob had not made those comments about Nick at Conan's party. Hmm. It's so incredibly harrowing if he did say that. Jeez.
