New footage is out revealing what Nick Reiner was up to in the hours before his parents' bodies were found in their home on Sunday. On Thursday, TMZ obtained surveillance video from a local business on Santa Monica Pier that shows the 32-year-old walking down the sidewalk at around 4:00 a.m. on Sunday. It appears he was heading towards the Pierside Santa Monica Hotel, carrying a black backpack and wearing a hat. Their deaths came hours after the trio attended Conan O'Brien's Christmas party, where he reportedly was acting "creepily" and "freaking everyone out." Nick and Rob got into a "very loud argument" at the event before leaving. And according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan J. Hochman, the couple were then killed "in approximately the early morning hours of December 14," so likely before dawn, which is around 6:00 a.m. local time. Their bodies were discovered in the afternoon. But before that, TMZ reported that the Being Charlie screenwriter checked into the hotel roughly 6 minutes after he was spotted in the above footage. Sources with direct knowledge claimed no one saw any blood on him when he arrived at the place at 4:15 a.m. Hours later, however, hotel staff members came across a grisly scene. That same day, housekeepers discovered his shower was "full of blood," and there was blood on the bed. The windows were covered by bed sheets, too. Hmm... Per more surveillance footage, Nick was then spotted at a gas station in the Exposition Park area, about 15 miles east of Santa Monica, on Sunday night. But this time, he had a red backpack with him. It appears he switched bags at some point for whatever reason. After leaving the gas station, he walked down the street in front of a USC housing building, where police spotted him and drove by him. They turned around roughly 10 seconds later and arrested him. Nick has since been charged with two counts of first-degree murder with a special circumstance alleging multiple murders. He also faces a special allegation that he used a knife in the crime. He's currently being held without bail as he awaits an arraignment, which was rescheduled for next month.
