At the beginning of 2025, Todd Chrisley and Julie Chrisley were in the middle of serving time in prison as part of their bank fraud and tax evasion case. President Donald Trump issued a pardon for both Todd and Julie, allowing them to return home. "This moment is the answer to countless prayers, and I am beyond grateful to President Trump for seeing the truth and restoring my family." The Chrisley Knows Best star was identified as a suspect in an alleged simple assault incident stemming from a night out at Twin Peaks Sports Bar in Atlanta. At the time, a rep for Chase told the Associated Press that his client "did not assault anyone." In March, Chase said he was "one month alcohol free" and feeling "better" than he has in recent years. In a September episode of Growing Up Chrisley, Chase also reflected on the incident, saying, "Everybody there says I didn't put my hands on anybody, but I mean, it ended up with me with a mugshot. I think I kinda just hit rock bottom." Savannah Chrisley and Robert Shiver Split After two years of dating, Savannah confirmed in April that she was single again. "It's been about a month and a half since Robert and I broke up. So there it is," she revealed on her "Unlocked" podcast episode. "I have taken a lot of time to process things and truly grieve the loss of the relationship that I thought was gonna be where I was for the rest of my life." Todd and Julie Chrisley Are Pardoned In May, Savannah received a call from Trump confirming her parents would be returning home from prison. "It's a terrible thing but it's a great thing, because your parents are going to be free and clean," Trump said via a phone call that was posted via X on May 27. "I hope we can do it by tomorrow. I don't know them, but give them my regards. Wish them a good life." Savannah vowed not to stop her work in the justice system by declaring, "Today is a victory for our family, but the fight against wrongful convictions and injustice within our prison system is far from over." "Even though this pardon has happened, I still was convicted of something that I did not do," he said at the May 30 press conference. "It could be you. It could be any of you." Todd proved he didn't lose his quick wit behind bars when Savannah addressed a rumor about the case. "I think the biggest misconception right now is that I either paid for a pardon or slept for a pardon," Savannah shared with reporters. Todd joked, "That's something I would do." The Podcast Returns Todd and Julie made their official return to the microphones in July, relaunching their podcast - now titled "Chrisley Confessions 2.0." In an unexpected turn of events, Todd also got into a bit of a dispute with Southern Charm star Patricia Altschul in July after the Bravo star threw some unexpected shade. "During the [post-prison] press conference I had stated that we are doing a hotel and it's going to be near Charleston, South Carolina," Todd said during an episode of the podcast that same month. He explained that Altschul commented, "Well there goes the neighborhood," upon hearing that Todd and Julie would be in Charleston - where Altschul lives. "I've never had an issue [with her]. ... I've always held her in high regard. I always thought she was a classy lady," Todd added. "This is a woman that's in her 80s. She could be my mother." He continued, "Because at the end of the day, she's old. She's already, according to the tabloids, transferred her assets over to her son. I guess
