Breaking down some misconceptions about the night Rob and Michele Reiner died. A source with direct knowledge of the brutal murders is trying to clear the air about something important. Speaking to TMZ on Thursday, the insider insisted that - despite some speculation online - the couple did not kick out Nick the night before they were murdered. As Perezcious readers will recall, Rob and Michele were found dead in their Brentwood, California home on Sunday. The night before, they were seen arguing with Nick at Conan O'Brien's holiday party. At 4 a.m. on Sunday, Nick checked into a Santa Monica hotel. He was unaccounted for until he was arrested at around 9:15 p.m. on Sunday night near USC. The screenwriter lived in his parents' guesthouse, though they were reportedly running out of ideas to help their son amid his mental health and addiction struggles, and wanted him out. He'd been homeless at various points after being kicked out when he'd refuse to go to rehab. So, many guessed that's what happened and led him to the hotel. Addressing the speculation, the insider claimed Nick left the home on Saturday night after the party on his own accord. It's still unclear why. It's also unclear if Rob and Nick continued their party argument at home once leaving the bash. That said, the source doubled down on claims Nick's demeanor had changed in recent weeks. The confidant said he wasn't mentally stable leading up to the murders - and it went beyond just consuming illegal substances. Apparently, prescription drugs had "messed with his head." Oh no... that's really awful. So much more still to figure out... Thoughts? Share them (below).
