Melania, the doc from director Brett Ratner - his first film since he was accused of sexual misconduct and harassment - was made with Melania Trump's participation and goes behind the scenes in the 20 days leading up to the 2025 presidential inauguration. The official logline for the doc announced today reads: "Melania offers unprecedented access to the 20 days leading up to the 2025 Presidential Inauguration - through the eyes of the First Lady-elect herself. Step inside Melania Trump's world as she orchestrates inauguration plans, navigates the complexities of the White House transition, and reenters public life with her family. With exclusive footage capturing critical meetings, private conversations, and never-before-seen environments, Melania showcases Mrs. Trump's return to one of the world's most powerful roles." The trailer also includes clips of Melania Trump dressed in limo in stiletto boots, a strapless inauguration ball gown and black sunglasses as she wears the mantle of first lady during conversations and meetings in the White House, Mar-a-Lago and other backdrops. Her son Baron Trump and husband Donald Trump make appearances in the trailer. In the footage, she calls her husband to say "Mr. President. Congratulations." "Did you watch it?" Donald Trump is heard to say on the call. "I did not. Yeah, I will see it on the news," Melania Trump responds with precision. Amazon will release the film exclusively in theaters in the U.S. and select territories overseas on Jan. 30, 2026. The film will later be accompanied by a three-part docuseries, with a streaming run on Prime Video to follow.
