More details about the murders of Rob Reiner and Michele Singer Reiner have come to light. Assistant police chief Dominic Choi stated during the Los Angeles police department's Tuesday, December 16, meeting that Rob and Michele were found dead in their bedroom, per the Los Angeles Times. Us Weekly confirmed on Monday, December 15, that Rob and Michele died from apparent stab wounds after being discovered in their Brentwood, Los Angeles home. They were 78 and 68, respectively. "It is with profound sorrow that we announce the tragic passing of Michele and Rob Reiner," a spokesperson for the Reiner family later shared in a statement to Variety. We are heartbroken by this sudden loss, and we ask for privacy during this unbelievably difficult time," the statement read. Los Angeles district attorney Nathan Hochman announced in a press conference on Tuesday that Nick was arrested on Sunday evening near the University of Southern California "without incident." He has officially been charged with two counts of first-degree murder. If found guilty, he will face life in prison without parole or the death penalty.
